To date, 2010 has been busy here at the Museum. Much has been accomplished, including completion of the Brodine-Walker boarding house project. With the able help of volunteer Tim Cooney, one of the Museum's founding members, a new shingle roof was installed on the Town's old garage, which as you know, had been converted three years ago to house our Doc Morris Collection. Donna Thompson has volunteered several days this summer, to weed and mulch the gardens. Finally, courtesy of Bob Nelson and his Nelson Museum on Carey Avenue in Cheyenne, we've acquired two more beautiful cases in which to display additional artifacts.

Back in May, the Board interviewed four applicants for summer help. Lucy Rabago was hired to fill the paid position of Administrative Assistant/Tour Guide. Lucy is a para-professional at Burns Elementary School, married to David, and has lived in Pine Bluffs for five years. Since Memorial Day, she has been holding down the fort answering the phone, filing, greeting people, and providing tours for individuals, families, and groups. When not doing that, she's been cleaning and painting, and watering the shrubs and flowers around the main exhibition hall.
